It comes with removable hook pins for fitting wooden gates. The hook pin is fitted to the post, and the band is fitted to the gate. The gate is then offered up to the hook and lowered onto the pin allowing the pin to take the weight of the gate. To prevent removal of the gate depending on the weight distribution of the gate mount the top or bottom pin upside down.
